The Pope vs. The King

Ask your local novus ordo priest or Bishop about the Social Kingship of Christ. Seriously. Do it. Chances are you’ll be greeted with a blank stare looking back at you. Such is the sad reality of living in a post-Dignitatis Humanae world, a world where seemingly everyone thinks that man has a God-given right to reject the religion God himself said was the only way to eternal salvation. Buchanan on Brexit

In his most recent article, Pat Buchanan echoes essentially what I argued in this space a couple weeks ago: Europe is being re-made in the image of multicultural, intolerant, atheistic progressives. It would be in the best interest of countries like the UK to re-assert its political, economic and cultural sovereignty and remove itself from the European Union (See here, here and here for my remarks). Last week, One Peter Five reported that Pope Emeritus Benedict told a priest friend of his that there are elements of the Third Secret of Fatima that have not yet been disclosed. The story became so popular that Benedict himself issued a statement. In a press release provided by the Vatican Press Office, Pope Benedict denied the claim that he said the Third Secret hasn’t been fully revealed. Such claims “are pure inventions” that are  “absolutely untrue,” he remarked. “The publication of the Third Secret of Fatima is complete.” Please follow and like us:

Bad news for neocons: Donald Trump will be the Republican nominee for President. I’ll speak about what that means and what Trump needs to do in order to win the general election on this Friday’s edition of Church & State. Edgard Portela, a media analyst for the D.C.-based Media Research Center, will be my guest. See his past work here. Be sure to tune in at 11am, 2pm, 6pm or 9pm EST. In the meantime, if you’re looking for analysis of what happened in Indiana, I recommend reading Daniel Larison from The American Conservative (see here). Target, as you may know, has decided to allow men to use women’s bathrooms. 1.1 million people have pledged to boycott the store for this change in policy. One of those people is Steve Skojec from One Peter Five. Steve’s written about his own Target experience. Read it here. It turns out that Target’s stock price has taken quite a dive, with some claiming the company lost over $2.5 billion dollars. Of course, this will likely bounce back in no time. Rod Dreher from The American Conservative writes, “This country is losing its mind. When are parents going to stand up …

Paul Ryan, the current Speaker of the House, will, in all likelihood, be forced to run for President at some point in his life. Of course, that won’t happen any time soon. 2024 is probably when he’ll take his chances. Last week, Ryan gave a speech at Georgetown about poverty and the poor. It was quite good. These sorts of events need to happen more often if the GOP ever wants to shed the image of being the party of millionaires and billionaires. Please follow and like us:
